In Beijing, Jovic benefited from knowledgeable tour guides, visiting the Great Wall of China, which she described as a special experience. "Beijing is the capital. There are many historic things to see and do. The Great Wall was something special. I wanted to go to the Forbidden City, but didn't have time," she noted during a press conference.
Her time in Wuhan has also been captivating; she has observed an increase in the number of young people, attributing this to the abundance of universities in the area. "I learned there's the most universities here, so that's been really nice. And a lot of English, which I really appreciate. Many people speak English here, so I really kind of feel very understood, which is nice," she added.
On the court, Jovic has improved her performance compared to last year. After losing her only match in Beijing in 2025, she won two matches earlier this month before being eliminated by Iga Swiatek in the Round of 16.
In Wuhan, Jovic has matched her previous success, advancing to the third round after defeating Dayana Yastremska 6-4, 6-1 in the second round. She will next face Maja Chwalinska, the Roland Garros runner-up, in their first meeting on the WTA Tour.
