Howard played a pivotal role in the Dream’s 85-83 victory over the Liberty on Friday, scoring 21 points and contributing four three-pointers, along with two rebounds, one steal, and one block. This win completed a sweep of the semifinals series.

Throughout the playoffs, Howard is averaging 19.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. She led the WNBA in steals per game during the regular season with 2.3 and ranked second in three-point shots made with 134.

This will be Howard's first appearance in the WNBA Finals after being the No. 1 draft pick in 2022, and she is the first player from Kentucky to reach this stage. Earlier in the season, she set a league record for the most three-pointers made in a single season, achieving her 129th three against the Connecticut Sun on September 17. On June 11, she became the youngest player in league history to surpass 400 career three-pointers and, just a few days earlier, reached milestones of 2,500 points, 500 rebounds, 500 assists, 200 steals, and 100 blocks.
