A janitor at Wilmington College in Ohio, Jayson Barker, was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly hiding in the ceiling above a locker room to photograph the women’s soccer team as they changed. Police reported that Barker was charged with 11 counts of voyeurism after a team member discovered him taking photos from above in the Scheve Athletic Center locker room.

Barker was detained by campus security until police arrived on the scene. Initially held on $22,000 bail at a local jail, he has since been released after posting bail.
Wilmington College indicated in a statement that Barker was employed by a vendor and that the relationship with the custodial services contractor has been terminated. The college emphasized that the safety and well-being of its students is their primary concern, stating they have been providing counseling and support services to the affected students since the incident.
Investigators are looking into whether Barker has a prior history of similar conduct, which could lead to additional charges. He is scheduled to appear in court again on October 5.
