Matt Fitzpatrick of England clinched his fourth title of the season by winning the French Open at Le Golf National in Paris, finishing three shots ahead of Spain's Angel Hidalgo. Fitzpatrick shot a one-under-par 70 in the final round on October 8.

Entering the final day with a five-shot lead, Fitzpatrick faced increased pressure as he made 12 consecutive pars, allowing Hidalgo to close the gap to two shots. However, birdies on the 13th and 15th holes helped him regain control of the match. Despite a bogey on the final hole, Fitzpatrick secured his 11th title on the European Tour.
"Delighted to get it over the line, it was definitely a battle today," he remarked. "I didn't have my best stuff for the first 12 holes and then managed to find some of my best stuff."
Matthieu Pavon achieved the best round of the day, finishing with a seven-under 64, which placed him in a tie for fourth, alongside fellow French golfer Tom Vaillant, Spain's Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra, and Norway's Kristoffer Reitan.
