Earlier this year, Canada secured their place by defeating Brazil 3-2 in the Qualifiers 1st Round held in Vancouver, British Columbia. Most recently, the Canadian team, comprised of Félix Auger-Aliassime (Montreal, QC), Liam Draxl (Newmarket, ON), Duncan Chan (Markham, ON), and Keegan Rice (Regina, SK), triumphed over France 3-1 in Quebec City during the Qualifiers 2nd Round.
Following their victory in Quebec City at the Centre Vidéotron, the Canadian team, led by captain Frank Dancevic, moved up to No. 8 in the world rankings.
