TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - The Alabama women's basketball team commenced its 2026-27 season with its first official practice on Monday afternoon in the Coleman Coliseum practice facility. The roster includes four returning players from the previous season: Ace Austin, Leah Brooks, Tianna Chambers, and Naomi Jones. Alabama has also added nine newcomers, all of whom are transfers, including Amirah Anderson, Paris Bradley, Rickell Brown, and Brooke Coffey. The new players are rounded out by Mykelle Richards, Aaliyah Roberson, Caitlin Staley, Kylie Torrence, and Alayna West.
Alabama's schedule includes 16 non-conference games and 16 Southeastern Conference games. Notable highlights of the non-conference slate are the WBCA Showcase in Orlando, Florida, set for November 19 and 21, and the ACC/SEC challenge against Georgia Tech on December 3. The Tide will kick off SEC play away at South Carolina on December 31, followed by a home opener against Georgia on January 3.
