Jayson Barker, a resident of Jeffersonville, faces 11 charges of voyeurism after allegedly hiding in the ceiling above the Wilmington College women’s soccer locker room, according to WLWT-TV. Police responded to the Scheve Athletic Center shortly before 9:40 p.m. Tuesday after reports surfaced that someone was taking photos of team members in the locker room. Investigators learned that Barker, who was employed as a contract custodian at Wilmington College, had been hidden in the ceiling area until a team member discovered him. In a statement, the college expressed its commitment to student safety, stating, "The college's paramount concern is the safety and well-being of its students. We have been providing counseling and other support services for the affected students since Tuesday night and are taking measures to ensure that no student's safety or well-being is compromised. The college continues to assist with law enforcement's investigation."
Barker is currently being held at the Clinton County Jail on a cash bond of $22,000 and is scheduled to appear in court on October 5.
