Quevedo attended the Community School of Naples, where she was recognized as the Southwest Florida Girls Tennis Player of the Year during her freshman year after an undefeated regular season. She finished as the Class 1A state runner-up in both singles and doubles tournaments, contributing to her school's runner-up finish in state competition.
At 15, she won the United States Tennis Association's Girls' 16 National Clay Court Championships singles title in Huntsville, Alabama. After her freshman year, Quevedo transitioned to virtual schooling to train at the Gomez Tennis Academy in Naples while focusing on junior events.
She has an impressive 163-77 record on the ITF tour, which includes 10 tournament titles. Prior to her win in Sao Paolo, Quevedo had achieved a 36-10 record on the tour and was ranked 105th in the world. Earlier this year, she made headlines by defeating Venus Williams at the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid and secured her first Grand Slam win in the first round of Roland Garros.
The final in Sao Paolo saw Quevedo defeat world No. 317 Podoroska with a scoreline of 4-6, 6-4, 6-2, after the match was postponed a day due to rain. Quevedo won her first three matches in straight sets before overcoming fourth-seed Anna Blinkova in a semifinal battle, finishing 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
With this victory, Quevedo is set to enter the top 100 rankings for the first time. She will represent Spain in the Billie Jean King Cup finals in Shenzhen, China, and then participate in the qualifying rounds for the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing.
