The figures were disclosed following a review of documents related to Moreira's transfer, showing a base cost of €51.282 million plus additional performance-related add-ons. This amount surpasses the €49.5 million previously spent on Rafael Leao.
Among the bonuses, Moreira could earn a €2.051 million one-time bonus if he achieves at least 10 goal contributions in a season. Additionally, if he starts a minimum of 15 games and plays at least 45 minutes in each, he could trigger another €1.025 million bonus, which can be activated twice during his time at the club, resulting in a potential €5.128 million.
Should Moreira renew his contract, AC Milan would owe Strasbourg another €2.051 million, also payable twice.
Bonuses based on team performance include €1.025 million for Champions League qualification, provided he plays at least 2,000 minutes in Serie A that season. Qualification for the Europa League offers a smaller bonus of €256,000, while winning the Scudetto could yield an additional €1.538 million, contingent on his playing time.
If all bonuses are activated, the total cost of the transfer could reach €67.8 million. Furthermore, a complicated sell-on clause ensures Strasbourg receives a percentage of future transfers, with specific amounts based on the sale price.
