Djokovic's physiotherapist, Carlos Costa, recently discussed the champion’s rigorous training and commitment to excellence in an interview with A Bola, translated by Jose Morgado. Costa praised Djokovic's work ethic, saying, "I have never seen anything like Novak Djokovic. His vision and intensity on the court are unmatched."

Costa also noted that Djokovic pays close attention to other players' training methods, particularly those of rising star Jannik Sinner. He stated, "He even goes as far as creating tests within the team to determine if we are truly implementing the best recovery strategies. For example, he asked us why Sinner does eye training and we didn’t. He is constantly looking for ways to be the best in the world."

Despite having faced challenges against Sinner in their recent encounters, including a five-set defeat in the 2023 Australian Open semifinals, Djokovic remains focused on his training and performance. Both Djokovic and Sinner are scheduled to compete in the China Open, which begins on September 30th.
