In the 72nd minute, senior Taryn Chance (Stafford, Va.) scored to level the playing field, recovering a rebound and finishing from just outside the box. Head coach Stefanie Golan praised the team's resilience, stating, "We created enough to win the game, and when we went down, the response was immediate. Taryn and Riley both made big plays to get us the point, and now it's on us to build on it against a great Vanderbilt team."

Mizzou had a potential breakthrough in the 21st minute when senior Brianna Buels (Indianapolis, Ind.) scored from an Adams delivery, but the goal was disallowed due to offside. Senior Mia Yang (Leawood, Kan.) forced a save from the Arkansas goalkeeper, while a shot from Arkansas hit the post, leaving the first half scoreless.

Freshman Lana Adams (Perryville, Mo.) led the team with five shots as Mizzou aggressively sought the opener. Arkansas took a 1-0 lead in the 65th minute, but the Tigers responded just seven minutes later. A shot by sophomore Aly Bryant (Lake St. Louis, Mo.) was blocked in the box, allowing Chance to capitalize on the loose ball for her first goal of the season.

Despite Arkansas applying pressure and earning numerous second-half corners, senior Riley Wilkerson (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) made four saves to secure the draw, even after sustaining a cleat to the face during the first half. A last-minute goal by Arkansas was eliminated due to goalkeeper interference, concluding the match in a tie.

Mizzou will host No. 3 Vanderbilt at Audrey J. Walton Stadium on Friday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. for Fall Fest and Mental Health Awareness Night. The match will be available for streaming on SEC Network+. For updates on Mizzou soccer, fans can check MUTigers.com or follow the team on social media.
