With this victory, Creighton's record improved to 4-3-1 for the season, marking their ninth consecutive win against Omaha and their 17th straight win over Summit League opponents. The Mavericks fell to 1-4-3 following the loss.
The first half ended without any goals, with Creighton managing to put three out of four shots on target. Clara Kulick nearly broke the deadlock in the 34th minute, but her goal was disallowed due to an offside call.
Creighton took the lead shortly after halftime, scoring in the 47th minute from a set piece. Following a foul by Omaha, Olivia Sides delivered a well-placed cross into the six-yard box, allowing Bragg to head in her first goal of the season.
Omaha made a strong push in the final 15 minutes, nearly equalizing in the 80th minute, but their goal was also ruled out for offside.
Despite being outshot 8-6 and trailing 5-1 in corner kicks, Creighton managed to secure a shutout win. Junior transfer Morgan Paley made the save on the Mavericks' only two shots on goal.
The Bluejays will have a 10-day break before beginning BIG EAST play against Providence on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 12 p.m. at Morrison Stadium.
