Holmgren firmly declined the offer, stating, "Not at all." He acknowledged the pressures that some players face, particularly at lower competitive levels, where many struggle to cover travel and training expenses. He noted that some players finish tournaments with as little as $20 left in their bank accounts, making them more susceptible to match-fixing temptations.
In the upcoming match, Holmgren will partner with Carl Emil Overbeck to face Alexander Donski and Pyotr Nesterov.
