Charlotte ranks sixth in the NCAA Division I RPI as of September 21, boasting the toughest strength of schedule in the nation. As a result of its recent performance, Charlotte has re-entered the United Soccer Coaches Top-25 Coaches Poll, with the highest RPI among American Conference teams.

Currently, the Niners are on a two-game win streak and have not lost in three matches, following an undefeated home stretch that included a comeback victory over Winthrop (2-1) and a last-minute goal against UAB for a 1-0 conference win. Charlotte holds a 3-1-3 overall record, with its only loss coming against No. 13 South Carolina, currently ranked No. 1 in the country.

Mikey Raggett, who scored decisive goals in both recent matches, earned his second American Conference Offensive Player of the Week award this season. He leads the Niners with four goals.

In terms of team statistics, Raggett leads in points with nine, while Larry Noel tops in shots (21) and shots on goal (10). Alex Svetanoff stands out as the goalkeeper with a 1.03 goals against average and 12 saves.

Temple, meanwhile, is seeking its first victory of the season, currently holding a record of 0-6-2 and 0-2-0 in American Conference play. The Owls have struggled offensively, managing only two goals this season and leading the conference in saves with 50.

Historically, Charlotte leads the all-time series against Temple 7-2, with the last encounter resulting in a decisive 7-0 win for the Niners last season. Charlotte has never drawn a match against Temple and looks to continue its winning streak against the Owls.
