Inter Miami CF's captain Leo Messi and forward Luis Suárez have been recognized in the Major League Soccer Team of the Matchday presented by Audi for matchday 29 of the 2026 regular season. Their selection follows a decisive 4-0 victory against D.C. United at Nu Stadium on Saturday.

Messi earns his 11th Team of the Matchday selection this season after scoring two goals in the win. He opened his account in the 47th minute with a left-footed shot from the center of the box, thanks to a precise assist from Suárez. Messi then completed his brace in the 60th minute with an impressive solo effort.
Currently, Messi has netted 23 goals in 25 appearances this season, leading the race for the 2026 MLS Golden Boot, while also contributing 13 assists.
Suárez, making his fifth appearance on the Team of the Matchday this season, had a notable performance against D.C. United. He scored two first-half goals, starting in the 3rd minute and adding another in the 39th minute. Additionally, he assisted Messi's first goal.
So far this season, Suárez has provided a total of 15 goals and nine assists in 24 matches.
