Akron Women's Soccer to Celebrate Senior Day Against Bowling Green

Four seniors — Olivia Heskett, Jordanne Oberhaus, Sara Bower, and Rachel Wenzel — will be honored prior to the match.

The Zips come into the game with a 4-4 record after losing their Mid-American Conference opener to Miami, 2-1, where an own goal in the 56th minute proved decisive. Akron initially took a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Wenzel in the sixth minute.

This match marks Akron's return home for the first time since September 3, when they secured a 2-0 victory over Cleveland State.

Bowling Green, sporting a record of 4-1-2, has won two of their last three games and recently played to a scoreless draw against Eastern Michigan. The Falcons are unbeaten in their last 11 road matches with a record of 6-0-5, and they have not lost a true road game since November 3, 2024. Bowling Green leads the all-time series against Akron, holding a 17-6-2 advantage and remaining unbeaten in the last seven encounters with the Zips.
