Wisconsin Women’s Soccer Defeats Indiana 2-0

The Badgers opened the scoring just 33 seconds into the match when Izy Traub assisted KK Panella, who shot into the top-left corner, making it 1-0. This goal was Panella's first of the season and marked the fastest opening goal for Wisconsin since Micaela Powers scored 22 seconds into a 2016 match against Michigan State.

Wisconsin extended its lead in the 20th minute when Hailey Baumann's header set up Erin Connolly, who found the bottom-left corner for her second goal in as many games. The Badgers maintained a 2-0 lead at halftime, outshooting Indiana 8-4 in the first half. Goalkeeper Stover made two saves to keep the Hoosiers scoreless.

In the second half, Wisconsin continued to apply pressure, earning three consecutive corner kicks early on. Jane Rogers had a shot on goal in the 58th minute, but Indiana goalkeeper Dani Jacobson made the save.

The Badger defense stifled Indiana’s attempts at a comeback, allowing just two shots and ensuring Stover made her third save in the 89th minute to keep the clean sheet. Wisconsin ended the match with a 13-6 advantage in shots and a 9-5 edge in corner kicks. Stover's three saves secured her third straight shutout, while Connolly led the team with three shots.
