This tournament will feature a 32-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw, taking place on outdoor hard courts. The last WTA tournament held in Memphis was the U.S. National Indoor Championships in 2013, which had seen champions like Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, and Victoria Azarenka.
The 2026 Memphis Classic will be hosted at the Leftwich Tennis Centre, which underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation and expansion in 2023. This announcement comes on the heels of an exciting start to the 2026 season with 10 different singles champions so far, including Jessica Pegula, who earned her 10th WTA title at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships last month.
