CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The University of Illinois has unveiled the non-conference schedule for the women's basketball team under head coach Shauna Green, featuring ten home games at State Farm Center.

The schedule begins with an exhibition game against the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) on October 30. The regular season opens with a matchup against Detroit Mercy on November 4, followed by a home game against Southern on November 7. The initial homestand will wrap up with a game against SEMO on November 15.
Following the homestand, the Fighting Illini will play three non-conference games on the road. They will face Ball State on November 18 and participate in the Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship in the Bahamas, where they will compete against Marquette on November 27 and Saint Joseph's on November 29.
In December, the team will return home for six consecutive games, beginning with Chicago State on December 7. The rivalry match against Missouri is scheduled for December 10 as part of the McBride Homes Braggin' Rights series. Illinois will then host Evansville on December 13, followed by three additional home games against Western Illinois (December 18), Wright State (December 20), and Old Dominion (December 22).
The complete Big Ten schedule, which includes an early December game, is set to be released on September 16. Previously announced matchups for the Big Ten include home games against Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, Washington, and Oregon, and away games at Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Rutgers, Wisconsin, UCLA, and USC.
Season tickets are currently available, with the lower bowl having sold out for two consecutive seasons. Seats have been added in the upper 100-level sections due to demand. General admission season tickets can be purchased, with single-game tickets expected to go on sale closer to the season.
Under Coach Green, now entering her fifth year, the team has achieved a 51-15 home record over the past four seasons and has pulled off five victories against AP Top-20 teams. Green's tenure has seen the team earn an 85-47 overall record, including a 39-33 mark in Big Ten play, with notable achievements such as securing the first postseason championship in program history in 2024 and consistently high attendance rates. The program continues to grow, highlighted by a successful 2025-26 season that included 22 wins and an NCAA Tournament victory.
