According to a police booking affidavit, Keddington engaged in communication with underaged individuals on an undisclosed chat website and social media application. He reportedly confessed that those conversations frequently involved sexual content and expressed feelings of guilt afterward. Keddington acknowledged that he should have ceased communication when informed he was speaking with an undercover officer posing as a 13-year-old girl.

The affidavit also states that Keddington admitted to requesting nude photos from minors. He was arrested shortly after arranging to meet the undercover officer.

The police indicated Keddington holds a position of trust in the community, granting him regular access to minors at both his workplace and residence. They requested he be held without bail pending formal charges.

In response to the incident, the Davis School District released a statement emphasizing their commitment to student safety and well-being. The district reported that Keddington was placed on leave as soon as they were made aware of the situation and expressed their intention to fully cooperate with law enforcement during the investigation.
