
East Lansing, Mich. – Michigan State University revealed its men's basketball schedule for the 2026-27 Big Ten Conference season on Wednesday evening.

The Spartans will begin their season with an exhibition game on Friday, Oct. 2, followed by the annual Izzone Campout.
Within the Big Ten, Michigan State will face Maryland, Michigan, and Nebraska in both home and away matches. Notable teams visiting the Breslin Center include Minnesota, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Washington, and Wisconsin.
On the road, the Spartans will compete against Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Northwestern, Ohio State, UCLA, and USC.
Conference play kicks off on Wednesday, Dec. 2, with Michigan State hosting Minnesota. The first road game will occur on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Maryland.
Game times and television details will be announced later. Last season, Michigan State finished with a 27-8 overall record and a 15-5 mark in the Big Ten, earning a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and advancing to the Sweet 16 for the 17th time under Head Coach Tom Izzo.
