Saddiq Bey Signs Three-Year Extension with Pelicans Worth $55.5 Million

The New Orleans Pelicans have reportedly agreed to a three-year, $55.5 million contract extension with forward Saddiq Bey, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

At 27 years old, Bey is coming off a career season, during which he averaged 17.7 points per game. Originally drafted 19th overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2020 NBA Draft, he has previously played for the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks before joining the Pelicans.

Bey missed the entire 2024-25 season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) but made a strong comeback last year in New Orleans, achieving his highest scoring average to date. With this extension, Bey secures a fully guaranteed contract that extends through the 2029-30 season.
