Over the past year, Hsiao has transitioned from a promising young player to a major contributor for Cathay Life in the Women's Super Basketball League (WSBL). During the 2025-26 season, she played a pivotal role in the Tigers' continued success, helping the team achieve a remarkable 25-2 record and secure their 33rd consecutive championship title.

Hsiao's impressive statistics include an average of 13.9 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, which not only led the league in rebounding but also positioned her among its top scorers. Her outstanding performances were recognized with several awards, including Player of the Year and Center of the Year, along with spots on both the First Team and Defensive Team.

Her development has been supported by her prior experience with Chinese Taipei's youth teams, where she excelled in various international competitions. Hsiao averaged 19.2 points and 13.5 rebounds at the FIBA U18 Women’s Asian Championship in 2022, and followed that by averaging 15.3 points and 9.7 rebounds at the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup in 2023. This consistent involvement at the international level has strengthened her role within the senior team.

Looking ahead to the 2026 edition of WBL Asia, Hsiao's performance will be critical. Cathay Life aims to improve upon their previous seasons, having reached the championship game in 2024 and finishing fifth in 2025. Competing in Group A with the inaugural champions Sichuan Yuanda Meile and newcomers Akari Sparks, the tournament in Bengaluru starting October 20 will be a significant opportunity for Hsiao to further establish her impact on the continental stage.

As she moves forward, Hsiao is no longer just a young prospect but a centerpiece of her team, combining her proven scoring ability with effective rebounding. The player who once scored the first points in WBL Asia is now set to make a substantial mark in the competition.
