During this collaboration, fans will be able to have food delivered from a variety of on-site vendors directly to their seats using DoorDash technology. This initiative marks a first for the Australian Open.
Additionally, DoorDash will serve as the presenting partner for the 'AO on the GO' convenience platform, with planned activations and branding in this area of the tournament. The company will also take charge of the Golden Hour Bar at Melbourne Park, the venue for the event. DoorDash branding will feature prominently through on-court virtual signage and concourse screens throughout the event.
This partnership comes as the tournament transitions to new leadership, with Craig Tiley, the former chief executive of Tennis Australia and tournament director, now serving as the CEO of the United States Tennis Association.
DoorDash recently expanded its sports sponsorship portfolio, having secured agreements with the NHL, WWE, UFC, and it was a partner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup hosted by Mexico, the US, and Canada, as well as forming a partnership with Major League Soccer.
