Additionally, prize money for both the winner and runner-up has reached all-time highs, and all singles and doubles competitors will experience a minimum uplift of 10 percent in earnings.
Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley stated that this increase underscores their commitment to supporting players at all levels. He highlighted that qualifying prize money has increased by 55 percent since 2023 and emphasized the importance of sustaining professional tennis.
The prize money enhancement is part of Tennis Australia’s $135 million investment in the Summer of Tennis, aimed at bolstering the careers of hundreds of professional athletes. Tiley remarked that this investment contributes to the long-term health and commercial success of the sport by ensuring a deeper talent pool and engaging storylines for fans.
The breakdown of the prize money for men’s and women’s singles is as follows:
- Winner: $4.15 million (+19%)
- Runner-up: $2.15 million (+13%)
- Semifinalists: $1.25 million (+14%)
- Quarterfinalists: $750,000 (+13%)
- Fourth Round: $480,000 (+14%)
- Third Round: $327,750 (+13%)
- Second Round: $225,000 (+13%)
- First Round: $150,000 (+14%)
Qualifying rounds will also see increases with Q3 at $83,500 (+16%), Q2 at $57,000 (+16%), and Q1 at $40,500 (+16%).
