The doubleheader will feature Texas versus Ohio State, while TCU will face Utah State in the opening game. The series continues on Sunday, December 6, 2026, with Texas competing against TCU in the Women’s Battle for Texas.

Texas Head Coach Vic Schaefer expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, noting the importance of bringing high-level competition to Fort Worth. He mentioned that many fans may not frequently visit Austin, making this a favorable decision to play esteemed opponents like Ohio State and TCU, both consistently ranked in the Top 25 and frequent NCAA tournament participants.
