Alexander Zverev Advances to Third Round of Shanghai Masters

SHANGHAI (AP) — Alexander Zverev, the top seed, overcame Quentin Halys with a score of 6-4, 6-7 (8), 6-3 in the third round of the ATP 1000 Shanghai Masters on Sunday. Zverev faced two match points in the second-set tiebreak but ultimately secured his victory without giving up any break-point chances. He needed seven attempts to break the serve of Halys, ranked 48th, in the opening game.
