LSU aims to extend its unbeaten streak following a 2-1 victory against Florida and a 1-1 draw with Georgia. The team's recent performances suggest they are gaining momentum after a challenging start to conference play, which included losses to Tennessee and South Carolina, as well as a defeat by Oklahoma. The Tigers secured their most recent conference point with a draw against Georgia before their win against Florida.

Arkansas enters the match with a mixed start to the season. After losing 4-1 to Baylor and drawing 1-1 with Loyola Maryland, the Razorbacks experienced back-to-back defeats against North Carolina and Clemson. However, they quickly rebounded with two shutout victories over Little Rock and Jackson State and began SEC play with a 3-1 win against Texas. They have also drawn with Georgia (2-2) and recently with Missouri (1-1).

The match will promote awareness for lymphoma cancer, supporting LSU player Rylie Kuyper, who has recently overcome cancer. Fans will receive "Fight Like A Tiger" t-shirts and green bracelets at the match.

She is accompanied by fifth-year forward Allie Fryer, who joined LSU after transferring from BYU and brings a wealth of experience. Other Tigers recognized include sophomore Sariyah Bailey, senior defender Kelsey Major, and senior goalkeeper Audur Scheving.

Currently, Galligan holds the lead for LSU with six goals this season and ranks among the SEC's top scorers. Sophomore Sariyah Bailey and others have also contributed goals, while goalkeeper Audur Scheving has made 29 saves this season.
