Juventus is reportedly losing patience with Nick Woltemade, the German forward on loan from Newcastle United, just five matches into the 2026-27 Serie A season. The club is evaluating alternative striker options ahead of the winter transfer window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Woltemade has yet to demonstrate that he can effectively serve as a primary striker, leading fans to view him as a temporary solution rather than a long-term answer for the team's attacking woes.

Despite his strong physical presence, the 24-year-old has struggled to make an impact in the air and has not been clinical in front of goal. He has failed to score in his first three appearances for Juventus, notably missing a critical opportunity against Sassuolo that could have altered the outcome of the match.

Consequently, the club is considering the possibility of terminating Woltemade's loan early in January to pursue other options for improving their attack. Potential replacements under consideration include former Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui, Monaco’s Florian Balogun, and rising star Antonio Raimondo from Frosinone.
