At 7-foot-2 and 260 pounds, Reeves has a varied collegiate background, having played at Duke and Clemson before transferring to Charleston for his senior year. There, he had a breakout season, averaging 11.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks in 32 games, including 18 starts. He excelled particularly in offensive rebounding, ranking 26th nationally in offensive rebounding rate according to KenPom.
With Reeves still unable to practice fully with the team and not cleared for contact, his role on this year's squad remains uncertain. The Jayhawks' first exhibition game is scheduled for October 16 against Pittsburg State as part of Late Night in the Phog.
