As of now, Como has secured three points, while Roma holds one point, and both Inter and Napoli are without any points. Gazzetta dello Sport notes that, historically, a total of 16 points has been necessary to qualify for the knockout stage in previous seasons.

With only 18 points available before the end of the group phase, the odds of at least one Italian club finishing in the top eight are diminishing. Additionally, in the past two seasons, only two teams — Milan in 2024-25 and Benfica in 2025-26 — have managed to qualify for the knockout round after losing their first two games.

Upcoming fixtures include Napoli and Roma hosting Bodo/Glimt and Slovan Bratislava respectively on Tuesday. Como will play Manchester United on Wednesday, while Inter will face Shakhtar Donetsk.
