Blessin has signed a contract that will keep him with the club until June 2028. His previous position was at St Pauli, where he served for two years until June, helping the team stay in the Bundesliga after their promotion before they were relegated last season.
He will be formally introduced at a press conference at ista-Borussia-Park on Wednesday, September 23, at 13:30 CEST, with Head of Sports Rouven Schroeder in attendance. Despite a poor start this season, Gladbach had finished 12th last season, nine points clear of the relegation playoff spot.
