Justine Henin: Former World No. 1 and Grand Slam Champion's Life After Tennis

At 44 years old, Henin competed during the height of Venus and Serena Williams' careers, securing seven Grand Slam titles and a gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Notably, she is known for her one-handed backhand, a rare shot in modern tennis, and was among the first players to wear a watch during matches.

Admired and inspired by Monica Seles, who won three consecutive French Opens in the early 1990s, Henin achieved remarkable success by winning four French Open titles between 2003 and 2007, including three in a row from 2005 to 2007.

In retirement, Henin continues to be active in the sport through the Justine Henin Academy, where she teaches tennis to all ages, from children to adults.

During her professional career, she was married to Pierre-Yves Hardenne, and briefly used the name Justine Henin-Hardenne before their divorce. In 2015, she married Belgian actor and director Benoit Bertuzzo. The couple has two children: daughter Lalie, born in 2013, and son Victor, born in 2017.
