Zverev, who achieved his first two Grand Slam titles this year at the French Open and U.S. Open, defeated Learner Tien 7-6 (3), 6-3, contributing to a 13-5 triumph for Europe.
This match marked a comeback for Zverev after his nine-match winning streak in singles was halted by Alex de Minaur on Saturday.
Tien, ranked 13th, had made his Laver Cup debut with a win against Flavio Cobolli on Saturday.
Team World claimed victory in San Francisco last year, but now Europe has secured six wins in the nine editions of this Ryder Cup-style event.
Earlier, Cobolli and Jakub Mensik bolstered Europe’s lead by defeating De Minaur and Taylor Fritz 7-5, 6-3 in doubles.
Zverev's victory concluded the match with three matches still to play, allowing Carlos Alcaraz to sit out the third match of the day against De Minaur.
Alcaraz had previously won both a doubles match with Mensik on Friday and a singles match against Fritz on Saturday.
