The Atlanta Hawks have announced the inclusion of Jason Love, Ettore Messina, and Sergi Oliva in key roles on Head Coach Quin Snyder’s staff for the 2026-27 season.

Jason Love has been appointed as an assistant coach. He joins the Hawks after two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he focused on player development. Previously, Love worked for five seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers, moving up from player development associate to skill development coach, and then to assistant coach. A native of Philadelphia, Love is a former college basketball player at Xavier University, where he is the all-time leader in wins with 108.

Ettore Messina, a notable figure in European basketball, has been named a coaching consultant. He reunites with Snyder, having previously worked with him as an assistant at CSKA Moscow. Over his distinguished career, Messina has won four EuroLeague championships and multiple national titles in Italy and Russia. His experience includes serving as a consultant for the Los Angeles Lakers and as an assistant coach with the San Antonio Spurs. He is also a member of the FIBA Hall of Fame.

Sergi Oliva takes on the role of basketball strategy and development advisor. He spent the last four seasons as assistant general manager with the Portland Trail Blazers and served as head coach of the Rip City Remix in the NBA G League. Oliva has a background working with Snyder at the Utah Jazz and has considerable experience in analytics and coaching, holding a Ph.D. in Computational Complexity from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
