Oziyah Sellers Joins SMU Men’s Basketball Team as Fifth-Year Guard

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU has announced the signing of fifth-year guard Oziyah Sellers, enhancing the Mustang basketball program under Head Coach Andy Enfield. As the team enters its third season with Enfield at the helm, it boasts one of the top transfer classes in the nation, ranked No. 21 by On3.

Sellers comes to SMU after a successful season at St. John's, where he started 36 games during the 2025-26 season and helped lead the team to a Big East Championship, contributing an average of 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists as the team finished with a 30-7 record. Prior to St. John's, he started every game for Stanford in the 2024-25 season, averaging 13.7 points per game.

Known for his shooting ability, Sellers has a career three-point shooting percentage of 37.8%, including a peak of 42.9% during his sophomore year at USC. He also boasts an impressive free throw shooting percentage of 86.9%.

Sellers has already enrolled at SMU and is practicing with the team while awaiting his eligibility status. His addition aims to further propel the program's momentum as SMU prepares for the upcoming 2026-27 season. Season tickets for the 2026-27 campaign are currently available.
