Team officials emphasized that the new branding embodies Atlanta's resilience, culture, and ambition, aligning with team owner Arthur Blank’s commitment to incorporate local soccer fans' feedback into the franchise's identity. The team is also developing a $100 million training facility in Marietta, which broke ground in April. This facility is envisioned as a significant economic driver for the Franklin Gateway area and aims to inspire future athletes.

Blank stated that the goal of securing the NWSL franchise was to create a world-class club that mirrors the city's strength and diversity. “After an extensive process, we’re proud to introduce Atlanta City FC,” he said.

The team revealed a color palette comprising four shades: Atlanta Red, Georgia Peach, Platinum Metallic, and Black Char. Each color symbolizes different aspects of the city, with Georgia Peach representing the state, and Platinum Metallic highlighting Atlanta's business and cultural leadership.

Atlanta City FC will join other franchises owned by Blank's AMB Sports and Entertainment, such as the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United. Home matches for the team will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Downtown Atlanta.

Deandra Duggans, the team’s Chief Business Officer, remarked, “Atlanta is a city that has always forged its own path. Atlanta City FC reflects the energy, diversity, and ambition that define this community.”

To celebrate the brand unveiling, Atlanta City FC will host a fan event on Sunday, October 4, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Southern Exchange Ballrooms in downtown Atlanta, offering fans their first chance to purchase merchandise.

Atlanta City FC is the 17th team in the NWSL, which recently expanded to 18 teams, including a new franchise in Columbus, Ohio. The Atlanta team’s inaugural season is scheduled for 2028.
