This win marks Alabama's ninth shutout of the season, bringing goalkeeper Madi Munguia to within one shutout of McKinley Crone's record of ten set in 2022. The three goals scored against Georgia (5-4-5, 2-2-3 SEC) equal the Crimson Tide’s highest offensive output in SEC play this season, matching their performance against Oklahoma on September 27.
Kennedy Garcia opened the scoring in the 26th minute, followed by Ashley Roni, who increased the lead to 2-0 with a left-footed strike just eight minutes later. Melina Rebimbas secured the final score in the 50th minute with a shot from the top of the box that hit the top right corner of the net.
Head Coach Wes Hart remarked, "After dropping the game to Florida, I think we were hungry to get back on the winning track. I think the team approached this game the way we wanted to. We came out from the beginning and asserted ourselves. We got the early goal and added another soon after that, and I thought we finished the game well. I'm just really pleased with our response after the loss."
