**First-Round Debates**
The first debate arises at the top of the draft. For those with the No. 1 pick, the choice is between Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokić. Each player has strengths depending on league format; Jokić may be preferable in points leagues due to his consistency, while Wembanyama adds dynamic potential in categories leagues.
Next, if you hold the No. 3 pick, another decision looms between Luka Dončić and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Dončić led last season in scoring, while Gilgeous-Alexander is noted for superior shooting efficiency and defensive stats.
For those drafting at No. 5, Giannis Antetokounmpo may be the go-to choice in points leagues due to his high scoring, though his free-throw shooting could make him less favorable in categories leagues, leaving options like Cade Cunningham and Anthony Edwards.
