Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has officially become a member of the Grand Slam Players' Council, which was established in August by players and the organizers of the four major tennis tournaments: the Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and the US Open.

The inaugural Council features 12 members, including six women and six men. In addition to Sabalenka, the Council includes Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan, Jessica Pegula and Iva Jović from the USA, Elina Svitolina from Ukraine, Maria Sakkari from Greece, as well as prominent male players such as Novak Djokovic from Serbia, Alexander Zverev from Germany, Ben Shelton from the USA, Félix Auger-Aliassime from Canada, Lorenzo Musetti from Italy, and Arthur Rinderknech from France.
The formation of the Players' Council was one of the main demands made by tennis players to the organizers of Grand Slam events. The athletes are also seeking increased prize money and better social support for competitors engaged in these prestigious tournaments.
