After missing out on notable signings like Julian Alvarez, Vinicius Junior, and Morgan Rogers during the summer, the Gunners are eager to bolster their squad. While they added Christos Tzolis, there remains a clear desire for further attacking reinforcements.
According to Fussball News, Arsenal is particularly interested in Nusa, a left-winger for RB Leipzig, who has scored two goals and provided two assists in just four Bundesliga matches this season. Nusa’s performances have attracted attention from several clubs, including Tottenham, Newcastle, and Aston Villa, as well as Italian teams like Roma, Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli. Reports suggest that Arsenal may soon make a formal offer of around €40 million (£34 million). However, Leipzig is reportedly unwilling to part with Nusa in January, especially given that he is under contract until 2029.
In addition to Nusa, Arsenal is also monitoring Freiburg striker Igor Matanovic. The 6-foot-5 forward has excelled this season, scoring six goals and providing two assists in seven matches, putting him just one goal behind the Bundesliga leaders. Caught Offside indicates that both Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in Matanovic, with scouts from these London clubs seen attending his matches.
Matanovic's value has risen from an estimated £30 million in the summer to around £50 million after his impressive performances. Should Arsenal pursue both players, they would be looking to invest a total of £84 million, though it remains uncertain if that would be sufficient to persuade their clubs to sell.
