This marks the sixth consecutive year that Denver has been ranked in the top three of the ITA Mountain Regional. The Pioneers captured their third straight Summit League title and their eighth overall, culminating in an 11th appearance in the NCAA tournament for 2026. During the season, Denver reached a national ranking high of No. 71 and compiled a 7-2 record against other teams in the ITA Mountain Regional during the dual season.

Senior Raffaello Papajcik led the individual rankings for Denver, finishing at No. 5 in the regional singles rankings with a record of 21-8, including 17-5 in the spring dual season. The Summit League Player of the Year was 13-4 in the No. 1 singles position and went undefeated (5-0) in league matches, achieving the most dual-clinching singles wins on the roster and securing 10 straight-set victories. Papajcik also reached the singles quarterfinals at the ITA Mountain Regional Championships in the fall, improving five spots from his previous year's ranking of No. 10.

Sophomore Samuel Rovai joined Papajcik in the top ten, ranking No. 9 in the regional singles rankings with a 20-6 record this season, including 14-5 in duals. He competed mainly at the No. 2 singles position, boasting an 11-2 record, and achieved All-Summit League honors for the second consecutive year. Rovai also reached the singles quarterfinals of the ITA Mountain Regional Championship in the fall, marking his first career ITA Regional ranking.

Fellow sophomore Theo Coats was ranked No. 12 in singles and validated his strong performance with a 30-6 overall record, leading the roster. He also maintained an impressive 17-4 record at the No. 3 singles position and finished with a perfect 5-0 against Summit League opponents. Coats won the Bedford Cup singles title and made it to the singles quarterfinals of the ITA Mountain Regional Championship. This is his first appearance in the ITA Mountain Regional singles rankings, although he had previously ranked in doubles.

Coats partnered with graduate student Connor Robb-Wilcox in doubles, achieving a ranking of No. 4 after a successful record of 17-5, including 12-5 in the spring dual season. The pair split time between the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles spots and finished with a 7-3 record while playing at the top position.

Denver has had three regionally-ranked singles players in five of the last six years and at least two in 16 of the last 17 years that rankings have been published. The duo of Coats and Robb-Wilcox maintained Denver's streak of having at least one doubles team in the ITA regional rankings for three consecutive years and seven of the last eight.

The ITA Division I Regional Rankings identify the top 10 teams, the top 20 singles players, and the top 10 doubles teams across its 12 regions. The University of Denver competes in the ITA Mountain Regional alongside 15 other institutions.
