Pongbot is also previewing its AO Pace S Pro, a special edition ball machine featuring blue accents and branding for both the Australian Open and Pongbot. Specific pricing and release dates for the AO Pace S Pro have not yet been disclosed.
The partnership with the National Tennis Academy provides a practical training component by integrating Pongbot’s technology, including its AI Coach, into player development programs. This technology supports structured practice, data collection, and performance analysis, which are crucial for enhancing training outcomes. CEO Haibo Zhang emphasized the goal of assisting players in making meaningful progress through sustained effort.
The Pace S Pro features a Recovery Trigger, using ultra-wideband technology to determine when a player returns to a recovery position, which allows for an integrated practice experience. Players can focus on recovery movements alongside their strokes due to this capability. The machine also offers Adaptive Rally and Match Challenge modes, adapting to a player's movements and varying session intensity.
Pongbot has not specified whether the AO edition will include new hardware or software changes beyond its design. The Aura range offers a lighter alternative, suitable for multiple racquet sports, with features including programmable drills and shot-tracking capabilities through its Spotter module.
The exact price and release date for the AO Pace S Pro remain pending, but the partnership with the National Tennis Academy is a key development for Pongbot as it aims to enhance training with actionable performance feedback.
