TAMPA, Fla. (September 20, 2026) – The University of South Florida men's soccer team achieved a 0-0 draw against Tulsa on Sunday evening at Corbett Soccer Stadium. Goalkeeper Alexis Martin delivered a standout performance, making eight saves to help the Bulls (1-6-1, 0-1-1) secure their first point in American Conference play during International Night.

After a 60-minute delay due to lightning, Martin excelled in goal, particularly in the second half, where he saved five shots to maintain the shutout against a Tulsa team that took a total of 17 shots. The Bulls' defense, with players Micah Harris, Charles Volcy, and Anthony Frasca, significantly limited the Golden Hurricane's scoring chances, allowing just eight shots on target in the match.
On the offensive side, Pedro Faife and Diego Sanchez each contributed three shots to USF's attack. The Bulls had a near miss in the 81st minute when Faife, Tyler Richardson, and Giovanni Cadore combined for three attempts in rapid succession. Earlier in the game, Richardson tested Tulsa goalkeeper Carlito Saylon with a shot just ten minutes into the match.
This draw marks South Florida's first clean sheet of the season and offers a positive foundation as the team progresses in conference play.
Note-A-Bulls:
- Alexis Martin recorded his first shutout of the season, notably stopping three shots from Luc Achermann-Stanfield.
- Although South Florida faced a 17-9 disadvantage in total shots, they managed to restrict Tulsa's effective shots on goal.
