Veritone Secures Multi-Year Licensing Agreement with ATP Media for Tennis Archive

The deal enables Veritone to provide archiving, cloud hosting, artificial intelligence processing, and licensing services for ATP Media, which handles broadcast production and distribution for the ATP Tour. This archive includes match highlights, significant moments, player features, and other footage from ATP Tour events held globally. Veritone confirmed that the content will be available for licensing for various applications, including documentaries, news programming, advertising campaigns, and digital content.

ATP Media’s materials will be managed via Veritone’s AI-powered Digital Media Hub, which includes metadata tagging and search tools designed to aid licensees in locating specific footage. The platform also features e-commerce and rights management functions, allowing users to search for footage, request licensing, and finalize transactions all in one place.

Alan Bruno, Head of Business Development at ATP Media, remarked that while every season adds new chapters to the ATP Tour’s narrative, the moments that define the sport maintain their significance long after the games conclude. He stated that the partnership aims to broaden access to ATP Media’s archive for brands, editorial organizations, and other video licensees in North America.

This agreement enhances Veritone’s sports content licensing arm, which provides rights holders with tools to archive, manage, and monetize their video libraries. Craig Caruso, Veritone’s Vice President of Sports Media and Commercial Partnerships, stated that many of the most memorable sports moments deserve to live on well beyond their live broadcasts. Veritone emphasized that its licensing platform is designed to provide rights holders with additional avenues to generate revenue from archival footage while retaining control over their intellectual property.
