Noskova, ranked sixth, secured the win by defeating seventh-ranked Elina Svitolina 6-3, 7-6 (5), after Muchova, ranked eighth, had previously beaten 47th-ranked Anhelina Kalinina 6-2, 6-3. Czechia's record in the competition puts it behind only the United States, which holds a record 18 titles.
Czech captain Barbora Strycova made history by becoming the fourth woman to win the competition as both a player and a captain, following in the footsteps of Margaret Court, Chris Evert, and Billie Jean King. Strycova had previously earned three titles as a player before taking on the captaincy this year.
Earlier in the tournament, Czechia recorded shutouts against Britain in the quarterfinals and Spain in the semifinals, allowing top-ranked doubles specialist Katerina Siniakova to remain on the sidelines. In the Wimbledon final, Noskova claimed her first Grand Slam title by defeating Muchova.
Ukraine reached the final by eliminating two-time defending champion Italy in the semifinals but competed without 10th-ranked Marta Kostyuk, who was sidelined due to a right wrist injury.
