Creighton Men's Soccer Set to Face Marquette in BIG EAST Matchup

In the all-time series, Creighton leads Marquette 12-9-2, and this will be their 24th meeting, including 10 previous contests held in Milwaukee. The Bluejays have won the last three matchups, with a 1-0 victory last season at Morrison Stadium.

Marquette enters the match with a record of 6-2-1 and stands at 0-1-0 in the BIG EAST. The Golden Eagles have performed well in non-conference play, securing seven results out of eight matches and boasting a home record of 5-0-1 at Valley Fields. However, they experienced a setback in their BIG EAST opener, losing to then No. 9 Georgetown. Following the game against Creighton, Marquette will also face undefeated Xavier.

The Golden Eagles' offense is led by Tomiwa Adewumi, who ranks second nationally with eight goals. Joey Buchanan and Mads Konrad Horgoien also contribute significantly, registering four goals each. Goalkeeper Cameron Simpson has played every minute this season, allowing 13 goals and recording three shutouts for a 1.44 GAA.

Creighton holds an 8-0-2 overall record and a 1-0-0 mark in the BIG EAST after defeating Denver 1-0 in their last match. The Bluejays are currently the NCAA leaders in goals, assists, and points, having scored 32 goals, provided 38 assists, and totaled 102 points this season.

Senior Matthew Reed leads Creighton with seven goals, ranking third nationally, while sophomore Ayden Kokoszka follows with five goals, including the game-winner against Denver, which became a highlight on SportsCenter's Top 10. Goalkeeper Matthew Hudson has delivered back-to-back shutouts in recent matches.

After missing time due to an ankle sprain, senior Edward Morales returned to action against Denver, providing additional support for the team.

Through the first 10 matches, Creighton has shown consistent scoring, with an even split of 16 goals in both halves. If they maintain their undefeated streak, it will mark the fourth time in school history they have started a season unbeaten through at least 10 matches, a feat last achieved in 2015.
