Inter Miami CF forward Lionel Messi has been recognized in the Major League Soccer (MLS) Team of the Matchday for Matchday 26 of the 2026 regular season. This marks the 10th time Messi has received Team of the Matchday honors this season, following his involvement in both goals during a 2-2 draw against Nashville SC at Nu Stadium on Saturday evening.

Messi initiated the scoring with a corner kick that deflected off a Nashville defender and into the net, equalizing the match in the 19th minute. Later, he scored in the 62nd minute with a left-footed shot from outside the box, putting Inter Miami ahead 2-1. This goal marked Messi's 19th of the season, placing him at the top of the MLS Golden Boot race, and it also brought his total to 99 goals for Inter Miami across all competitions since joining the club in 2023.
Throughout the 2026 season, Messi has maintained impressive form, accumulating 19 goals and 13 assists in 22 appearances.
