Coastal Carolina Women’s Soccer Faces Georgia Southern in Sun Belt Matchup

The Chanticleers hold a record of 6-3-2 overall and 0-1-1 in conference play. In their most recent game, they drew 2-2 against South Alabama, with Olivia Goretski scoring both goals and Kyra Kotsopoulos providing two assists. This was the first brace for a Chanticleer since Julia Ziegenfuss achieved it in November 2024 against South Alabama. The last player to record two assists in a match was Eefje Botjer in October 2025 against Georgia Southern.

Goretski currently leads the team with nine points, including four goals and one assist. This season, Coastal Carolina has recorded a total of 66 shots in both halves of their matches. The team aims to improve on its 1-3-1 record away from home.

Goalie Quinn Wilson has played 796 minutes, achieving an .857 save percentage and a 0.79 goals-against average, as well as earning one SBC Defensive Player of the Week accolade. Katie Oakley has appeared in goal for 103 minutes, with a .571 save percentage and a 2.61 goals-against average. The Eagles lead the conference with 163 shots and have an .821 save percentage.

In their historical matchups, Coastal Carolina has a 9-7-3 advantage over Georgia Southern. The Chanticleers have a 5-3-1 record when playing on the road against them. In their last encounter, the teams played to a 2-2 draw in October 2025, and Coastal’s last win against Georgia Southern was a 2-1 victory in October 2024 in Statesboro, Ga.
