Tjen, a right-handed player standing 5' 6'' (1.71m), was born on May 6, 2002, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Throughout her career, she has achieved a singles career-high ranking of No. 35.
In singles, her 2025 highlights include winning one title at the Chennai Open and reaching the final in Sao Paulo. In doubles, she has won a total of three titles, including at Hobart (2026, with Piter), and at Chennai and Guangzhou (both in 2025, with Sutjiadi and Piter, respectively). She also won a WTA 125 title in singles at Jinan in 2025.
Tjen's impressive performance in 2025 saw her rank soar from No. 411 to a career-high No. 53. She made her Tour-level and Grand Slam main draw debut at the US Open, qualifying and defeating the No. 24 seed V. Kudermetova in the first round before losing to Emma Raducanu in the second.
During 2024, Tjen won seven ITF singles and two ITF doubles titles, achieving a record of 39-3 and twice winning 15 matches consecutively. She ended her collegiate career ranked No. 1 in doubles and No. 35 in singles in the ITA rankings.
Tjen gained early recognition in 2019 by dominating the Indonesian junior circuit with nine titles and made her ITF circuit debut at W25 Jakarta. She also won gold in singles and silver in doubles at the 2019 ASEAN School Games in Semarang.
